摘要: Golpata (Nypa fruticans) is a cheap source of roof thatches in Bangladesh. However, its short life span 2-3 years makes it unsuitable for long-term use. This study was carried out to investigate the treatability by dipping in CCB (Chromated Copper Boric acid) mixture. Samples leaves and midribs with moisture contents ranging from 16.63% 70.67% at the start experiment, were dipped into solution four different concentrations 2, 4, 6 and 8 hours examined penetration and retention. Penetration determined using copper boron indicator whereas retention calculated X-ray spectroscopy. Results revealed that two factor chemical (CCB) concentrations duration dipping period have considerable effect on preservation but not moisture content. Better observed after time both midribs better found 8 hours specimen types respectively. Treatment time showed significant at 5% level confidence. Chemical (CCB) concentration had had no retention.
