摘要: Nipa (Nypa fruticans) is one of the most widely distributed and useful palm in mangrove forests South, Southeast Asia Oceania. Its distribution area known to be larger ancient time than at present, as evidenced by its fossils found North America, South Egypt Europe. has a wide diversity use. Traditionally it used roof materials, cigarette wrapper, medicine sap fermented alcohol. Recently, research on nipa focused potential use biofuel crop because several advantages compared with other biofuel-alcohol crops. For example high alcohol content, no competition for agricultural land bagasse disposal problem. In spite such usefulness, scientific reports biology are limited. Information genetic diversity, cytogenetics chemical composition lacking plant. On hand, morphological characters have been described many reports. This paper attempted provide general review plant based available literatures.
