摘要: An ion mobility detector has been designed and constructed for direct axial interfacing with capillary gas chromatography. The principle advantages of this were the following: (1) Direct concentric introduction column into ionization region, eliminating peak broadening in transfer line improving efficiency which neutral molecules swept from detector. (2) A variable insertion distance, providing a sensitivity/resolution interplay that could be modified response to needs assay. (3) inert flow external drift cylinder, preventing atmospheric impurities infiltrating ultratrace Qualitative quantitative capabilities evaluated using standard preparations n-hexyl ether.
