摘要: Statistical analysis of magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) brain artery trees is performed using two methods for mapping to points in phylogenetic treespace: cortical landmark correspondence and descendant correspondence. The differences end-results based on these mappings are highlighted emphasize the importance tree-oriented data analysis. Representation systems as treespace, a mathematical space developed (Billera et al. Adv. Appl. Math 27:733---767, 2001), facilitates this treespace rich setting Frechet sample mean or an approximation reported. Multidimensional scaling used explore structure set pairwise distances between points. This MRA shows statistically significant effect age sex structure. Variation proximity arteries surface results strong statistical difference sexes effect. That particular observation possible with but did not show up
