Plasma levels of adrenomedullin, a newly identified hypotensive peptide, in patients with hypertension and renal failure.

摘要: Adrenomedullin is a potent hypotensive peptide newly discovered in pheochromocytoma tissue by monitoring its elevating activity on platelet cAMP. We measured plasma concentration of adrenomedullin patients with essential hypertension and chronic renal failure. As compared normal subjects, was increased 26% (P 6 mg/dl had higher levels than healthy subjects 78% < 0.05), 131% 0.001), 214% respectively. Moreover, showed intimate correlations norepinephrine, atrial natriuretic peptide, cAMP (r = 0.625, P 0.001; r 0.656, 0.462, respectively). Thus, supposed to increase association changes sympathetic nervous body fluid volume Considering vasodilator effect, may be involved the defense mechanism preserving integrity cardiovascular system these disorders.
