摘要: This article considers contemporary developments in public health intelligence (PHI), especially their focus on events of pandemic potential. It argues that the sociological study PHI can yield important insights for sociology pandemics. aims to detect as (or even before) they unfold. Whilst its apparatuses envelope traditional activities, such epidemiological surveillance, increasingly extend non-traditional activities data-mining electronically mediated social networks. With a first situates relation health. then discusses conceptualisation and actualisation pandemics, reflecting how professionals organisations must equip themselves with diverse allies order realise claims make about phenomena. Finally, using analytic tools actor-network theory, sites future empirical research contribute pandemics are suggested.
