摘要: Polyamine deprivation in vivo produces significant tumor growth inhibition of the hormone-resistant, metastatic Dunning Mat-LyLu murine prostatic carcinoma. In order to produce a cytotoxic effect addition cytostatic polyamine deprivation, various chemotherapy regimens, combined with drug-containing polyamine-deficient chow (DC-PDC), were assessed. Triple combining methotrexate, cyclophosphamide and vindesine; monochemotherapy high-dose (90 mg· kg-1) low-dose (20 mg·kg-1) studied alone combination DC-PDC. A variant DC-PDC excluding oxidase inhibitor MDL 72527 was also cyclophosphamide. The triple-chemotherapy regimen or ceprivation effective on but toxic. High-dose produced an increase life span. Low-dose moderately marginal When results compared favourably those prevented formation lung metastases. does not appear be mandatory achieve this if is appears important tool anticancer therapy, allowing use reduced doses agents same antitumoral efficacy.
