摘要: In humans, there is a strong correlation between sensitivity to substances of abuse and addiction risk. This differential tolerance drugs has genetic component. The identification human factors that alter drug been difficult task. For this reason taking advantage the fact Drosophila responds similarly humans many drugs, genetically it high degree homology (sharing at least 70% genes known be involved in diseases), we looked for altered their nicotine sensitivity. We developed an instantaneous vaporization technique exposed flies reproducible way. amount sufficient “knock out” half control 30 minutes was determined parameter defined as Half Recovery Time (HRT). Two fly lines, L4 L70, whose HRT significantly longer than control´s were identified. insertion loss function allele transcriptional factor escargot (esg), whereas L70 causes miss-expression microRNA cluster miR-310-311-312-313 (miR-310c). work, demonstrate esg induces possibly by altering development sensory organs neurons medial section thoracoabdominal ganglion. ectopic expression miR-310c also lowering Esg levels thus disrupting modulation other targets.
