摘要: Abstract In this study the estrous cycle of aoudad has been analyzed and characterized for first time, using non-invasive methods tracking reproductive cyclicity. The duration is 23 days (range 16–32 days), with a luteal phase 17 12–27 days) an interluteal 6 3–14 days). did not differ between females, but it was affected by time year. Intraindividual variation observed in one out nine individuals. average hormone concentration values, estrogen:progestogen ratio, as well their minimum maximum values each phases cycle, are shown. Interindividual differences found these were basically associated age. Females tended to start when presence adult male. Anestrus females except oldest (14 years old). Age anestrus onset correlated, younger starting earlier than older ones. This reveals that Ammotragus biology more similar Capra Ovis , some endocrinological features.
