Offshoring to High and Low Income Countries and the Labor Demand. Evidence from Italian Firms

摘要: Making use of an original data set the effects imports intermediates from high and low income countries on conditional labor demand a panel Italian manufacturing firms are investigated. A dynamic model is estimated by means system GMM allowing for endogeneity right-hand side regressors, especially offshoring measures. The results bear negative effect which attributable exclusively to trading partners mainly concerns operating in traditional sectors. No statistically significant countries. These findings robust different measures inclusion further controls.
