摘要: Integrated assessment is an analysis of a topic that integrates multiple lines research. assessments are thus inherently interdisciplinary. They generally oriented toward practical problems, often in the context public policy, and frequently concern topics science technology. This paper presents concept for some initial work towards integrated global catastrophic risk (GCR). Generally speaking, GCR significant harm to human civilization. More precise definitions provided below. Some GCRs include nuclear war, climate change, pandemic disease outbreaks. puts all these risks into one study order address overarching questions about opportunities reduce it. The specific presented here has been developed over several years by Global Catastrophic Risk Institute (GCRI). GCRI independent, nonprofit think tank founded 2011 Seth Baum Tony Barrett (i.e., authors). structures much GCRI’s thinking activity, likewise offers framework general on topic.
