摘要: We argue that the most-promising area of clinical application microarrays in foreseeable future is diagnostics and monitoring infectious diseases. Microarrays for detection characterization human pathogens have already found their way into practice some countries. After discussing persistent, yet often underestimated, importance diseases public health, we consider technologies are best suited investigation pathogens. Clinical microarray mycobacteria, Bacillus anthracis, HIV, hepatitis influenza viruses, other major pathogens, as well analysis drug-resistance patterns, illustrate our main thesis.
