摘要: Benign thyroid nodules are an extremely common occurrence. Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is gaining ground as effective technique for their treatment, in case they become symptomatic. Here we review what the current indications to RFA, its outcomes terms of efficacy, tolerability, and cost, also how it compares other conventional experimental treatment modalities benign nodules. Moreover, will address issue treating with this patients cardiac pacemakers (PM) or implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICD), a rather frequent occurrence that has never been addressed detail literature.
