摘要: Continuous silicon carbide fibre yarn has been used as a reinforcement for borosilicate and 96% silica glass matrices. The resultant composites exhibit excellent levels of strength elastic modulus up to temperatures 600‡ C 1100‡ C, respectively. At higher excessive matrix softening causes significant reduction in composite flexural strength.
