摘要: Fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) composites have become gradually accepted by the civil engineering industry for repair and rehabilitation of concrete structures in recent years. Extensive research on use a host different forms FRP forms, such as rods, plates, grids jackets, has led to confidence their design strengthening work. Is it however extremely difficult so assess structural performance strengthened structure using conventional non-destructive evaluation (NDE) technologies strain gauges, dye-penetrant, x-ray, radiography acoustic emission. One form NDE which attracted attention late is optical fibre sensors they potential providing real-time health monitoring. The sensors, are typically embedded into work, capable being used damage warn impending weakness integrity at any marginal situations. development distributed fibre-optic provide large number continuously parameters strain, temperature vibration profile due traffic loading, also great interest most applications. In this paper, glass Bragg grating external reinforcement monitoring devices, respectively, introduced. applications reinforcing bars with integrated new known “Smart Composite”, another application discussed paper.
