摘要: Changes in arterial distensibility have been widely used to identify the presence of cardiovascular abnormalities like hypertension. Pulse wave velocity (PWV) has shown be related distensibility. However, lack suitable techniques measure PWV nonintrusively impeded its clinical usefulness. transit time (PTT) is a noninvasive technique derived from principle PWV. PTT capabilities and cardiorespiratory studies adults. no known study conducted understand suitability utility estimate children. Two computational methods derive values obtained 23 normotensive Caucasian children (19 males, aged 5-12 years old) their finger toe were conducted. Furthermore, effects adopting different postures on derivations investigated. Statistical analyses performed comparison with two previous Results revealed that upper limb correlated significantly (P<0.05) regardless computing or adopted. The findings here suggest measurement can as convenient surrogate prolonged studies, especially younger less cooperative simple set-up nature promote usefulness ambulatory monitoring.
