摘要: The reduction of metallic oxides to metals represents an important class heterogeneous reactions in which the role nucleation and growth phenomena, although significant, has not been investigated fully. micromechanism involves formation nuclei their subsequent at expense parent phase. present paper systematizes evidence so far available reports some experimental work on mechanisms wustite. rate nucleation, mode a nucleus relationship macroscopic parameter such as mass have fully explored. method determining intrinsic from high temperature stage optical microscopic measurements placed firm quantitative basis. influence pore diffusion gaseous species shape growing examined detail.
