摘要: Abstract During the preparation of thin samples nickel oxide by ion-beam milling, it has been found that preferential removal oxygen can occur to such an extent islands metal form on surface. The are be aligned topotacticly with and results compared other studies early stages reduction oxide. shape is explained in terms misfit dislocations which accommodate strain; growth occurs generation climb dislocations.
