摘要: Probiotics such as lactic acid bacteria (LAB) and prebiotics fiber are generally considered beneficial for health. These affect the microflora composition fermentation metabolites consequently contribute to local systemic effects in humans. The of probiotics can be improved when combined with prebiotics. Here we investigated a mixed LAB supplement dietary on population gut, well serum cholesterol levels, fecal water content microbial harmful enzyme activities. For animal studies, 0.2 mL (Bifidobacterium longum SPM1205, Lactobacillus acidophilus, SAFELAC isolated from Pediococcus pentosaceus) (10(7) ∼ 10(8) colony forming units per day) was orally administered male Sprague-Dawley rats every day 2 weeks along diet containing 5% or 10% cellulose. cellulose significantly (p < 0.05) reduced total LDL levels. This combination also increased (β-glucosidase, β-glucuronidase tryptophanase) were particularly by its compared control (a without cellulose), more effective than combination. In conclusion, incorporation fibrous LAB, daily consumption this could reduce levels activities enzymes β-glucosidase, β-glucuronidase, tryptophanase, urease rats.
