摘要: Particulate matter is emitted to the atmosphere from variousenergy conversion processes, mainly electric powerand transportation sectors. Recent studies and peer reviews conducted by international organizations have indicated adverse health economic effects of accumulation these particulates in environment.In absence any data related levels air pollution Beirut environment, this study was initiated with objective conducting a preliminary investigation that includes sampling X-ray fluorescence analysis samples. Emphasis placed on impact transport sector dissemination different pollutants particular lead. The results show high resulting sources concentrations lead within city ofBeirut. A direct correlation between particulate constituents street activities identified. indicate seriousness problem can inflict society if appropriate mitigative measures are not implemented, especially urbanized regions where traffic flow consistently heavy. Mitigation options applicable Lebanon possibly other countries similar social structure recommended.
