摘要: This study evaluated the effects of iron deficiency and repletion on in vivo macrophage function determined by clearance /sup 125/I-labeled polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP). Two experiments were done. There four groups C57BL/6 female mice experiment 1: iron-deficient (ID), pair-fed (PF), control (C) high (HI) groups. In 2, there three ID (severe to moderate anemia), PF, one C that fed adequate for 14 (R-14), 7 (R-7), 3 (R-3) days before or day PVP injection (R-0). The overall rate from blood was lower than PF is expressed a constant, K, calculated natural log (ln) cpm time postadministration drawn. theoretical individual macrophages (alpha PVP), derived K weights body, spleen liver, also impairment most severe with deficiency. Repletion 15 d administration resulted partial correction clearance. Moderate undernutrition themore » group had no effect.« less
