摘要: Melanoma, a potentially lethal skin cancer, is widely thought to be immunogenic in nature. While there has been much focus on T cell-mediated immune responses, limited knowledge exists the role of mature B cells. We describe an approach, including cell-based ELISA, evaluate IgG antibody responses melanoma from human peripheral blood observed significant increase patients (n = 10) primary and metastatic cells compared healthy volunteers (P<0.0001). Interestingly, we detected reduction with advancing disease stage our patient cohort 21) Overall, 28% patient-derived cell cultures 1,800) 2% controls 600) produced antibodies that recognized Lastly, melanoma-specific monoclonal was selected for further study. This effectively killed vitro via antibody-mediated cellular cytotoxicity. These data demonstrate presence systemic response patients, which reduced progression, adding previous reports tumor-reactive sera, suggesting merit future work elucidate clinical relevance activating humoral cancer.
