摘要: Abstract The escalating mentally ill population in prisons has created unique challenges for correctional systems, Colorado being no exception with 25% of its incarcerated having mental health needs. This study examined offenders illness (OMIs) and found a growing number OMIs Colorado's prison system. Not only is this expanding, have higher rates recidivism, oftentimes result failing under parole supervision. present characteristics that differentiate them from the general offender population, exhibiting greater rehabilitation needs adjustment difficulties, which direct impact on resources required to house them.
