摘要: Abstract An assemblage of amphibians and squamates from the Upper Maastrichtian Iberian Peninsula is described here for first time. The material disarticulated comes Blasi 2 site Huesca, Spain). made up grey marls belonging to lower part Tremp Formation, contains dinosaurs, crocodilians, testudines Osteichthyes. include one albanerpetontid ( Albanerpeton aff. nexuosum ) two different anuran taxa: a discoglossid palaeobatrachid. comprise three lizards (two indeterminate anguid) as well an snake (Alethinophidia). vertebrate may be interpreted pertaining aquatic environment its terrestrial surroundings. presence estuarine fishes, freshwater marine invertebrates together suggests that correspond coastal, mangrove-like swamp. are typically Laurasiatic taxa. This contrasts with older (Campanian-Maastrichtian) sites Peninsula, where typical Gondwanan taxa have been identified. provides important information on biodiversity squamate reptiles in north during late Maastrichtian, point just few hundred thousand years before K-T boundary event.
