摘要: Abstract Signal transduction by vascular endothelial growth factors (VEGFs) through their cognate VEGF receptor tyrosine kinases follows the consensus scheme for kinases. Thus, binding of ligand induces dimerization and activation kinase transphosphorylation between molecules, leading to initiation intracellular signal pathways. Certain pathways are shared with most, if not all, kinases, whereas some may be unique (e.g., transduced only receptors). Indications that such signaling discerned when receptors expressed in proper context (i.e., cells microcapillary origin). In this chapter, we describe a number methods study cells. We how isolate examine cell lines. also embryoid body model representing vasculogenesis angiogenesis, procedure subcutaneous Matrigel plugs, and, finally, construct gene‐targeted mouse models. emphasize need validation vitro data more complex models, where reside three‐dimensional context.
