摘要: Epoxy-carbon nanotube (CNT) composites are promising coating materials for wear and corrosion critical applications such as marine bearings, shafts, bolts gears. However, there insufficient tribological data available design. This article described the fabrication testing of an epoxy-CNT composite composed a commercial epoxy primer CNT filler. The filler was pre-treated so that it compatible with resin dispersed using ball milling process. A reciprocating sliding test rig built measurement friction coatings which were subjected to multi-pass ball-on-plate geometry. allowed either constant or varying normal force, along tangential forces. Thus, coefficient (COF) under ramping force could be determined. Following testing, samples examined optical microscopy determine severity any galling had taken place. found display encouraging properties in all aspects testing. COF values around 0.2 recorded nominal contact pressure up 1 GPa. can used components require anti-corrosion low properties.
