摘要: Fifteen episodes of infection due to Pseudomonas aeruginosa, including peritonitis and catheter site infections, occurred in nine patients receiving continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis over a 27-month period. Eight were associated with loss. Occurrence P aeruginosa was significantly use povidone-iodine solution cleanse the site. There no association disinfect tubing connections, other skin care products or exposure environmental sources aeruginosa. Cultures available negative. Local irritation alteration flora caused by antiseptic low-level contamination are potential mechanisms infection.
