摘要: Soft and hard surfaces for electromagnetic waves were defined in 1988. Here we will explain the similarity between anisotropic soft surface, last decade's isotropic artificial magnetic conductor particular so-called bandgap surface. It is summarized that a surface normally have better performance than when purpose to stop propagating along dual or circular polarization. We also how can be used make cylindrical objects invisible, this was experimentally proven decent bandwidth journal article 1996, ten years before promised theoretical metamaterial cloak published year. The invisibility correctly conveniently characterized terms of an equivalent blockage width characterizes forward scattered field. There presented recent results which cloaks metamaterials are compared, showing superiority cloak.
