摘要: The 2012 revision of the Brazilian Forest Act changed relative importance private and public governance for nature conservation agricultural production. We present a spatially explicit land-use model production that considers spatial distribution land suitability, technological management options, legal command, control frameworks including Atlantic Law, revised Act, Amazonian land-titling, "Terra Legal," also market-driven use regulations. is used to analyze allocation under three scenarios with varying priorities among environmental protection objectives. In all scenarios, command were most important determinants outcomes, protecting at least 80% existing natural vegetation. Situations where such are not expected be effective can identified targeted additional (beyond requirements) through voluntary actions or self-regulation in response markets. All allow substantial increase crop production, using an area 1.5-2.7 times current cropland area, much new occurring on pastureland. Current arrangements promote can, conjunction schemes lands conversion agriculture favored, provide without conflicting national
