Lattice dynamics in perovskite-type layer structures. FIR studies of (CH3NH3)2MnCl4 and (CH3NH3)2FeCl4

摘要: The far-infrared reflectivity of (CH3NH3)3MnCl4(=MAMC) and (CH3NH3)2FeCl4(=MAFC) single crystals was studied at several temperatures. By means a Kramers-Kronig analysis, the frequencies long-wavelength infrared-active phonons were determined. Because considerable gap (300-900 cm-1) between external internal modes organic ions these can be treated as rigid bodies frequencies. In addition, authors present results structure analysis MAMC above below continuous phase transition 394K which turns out to order-disorder type. high-temperature tetragonal modification, three strong two weak IR-active are observed for E perpendicular c.
