摘要: Whole-body nutrient composition of calcium, potassium, and sodium is documented for 37 species forest floor arthropods. Sodium concentrations averaging 4.6 mg Na/g ash-free dry weight, and potassium 6.2 ing K/g weight were relatively consistent within among major taxonomic categories. Calcium content varied from 0.3 to 509.8 Ca/g with highest values associated Diplopoda related possessing highly calcified exoskeletons. Within-species variation in chemical often exceeded seasonal fluctuations, although several exhibited significant temporal changes whole-body potassium, sodium.
