摘要: Urban sustainable development strategies are of great importance to rapidly urbanized countries such as China. One the most challenging problems is how coordinate urban spatial with social efficiency and environmental protection, e.g., highly efficient low-carbon traffic. Despite broad research efforts respect influence form on travel patterns, questions persist impact compact distance modes. In this study, we adopted metrics capture key dimensions aid image processing analysis based satellite images statistical data from cases 35 cities. Combined survey data, empirically examined relationships between patterns local residents. The results showed that have regionalized characteristics, eastern cities characterized by disperse longer commuting times average compared western central We found relatively smaller built-up areas, higher degrees agglomeration more paved road area per person would decrease time also public transport choices residents positively associated areas times, which suggests need for provision promotion facilities a high-quality system. findings provide helpful suggestions planning transportation.
