摘要: Results of recent studies using immunohistochemistry show evidence an occurrence catecholamine production in the cells (tenocytes) patellar tendons exhibiting tendinopathy (tendinosis). In present study, antibodies against catecholamine-synthesizing enzyme tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) and alpha1-adrenoreceptors were applied to sections specimens normal tendinosis Achilles tendons. situ hybridization a probe detecting human TH mRNA was also utilized. It found that sympathetic innervation very scarce. On other hand, there distinct alpha1-adrenoreceptor immunoreactions blood vessel walls. Interestingly, tenocytes, particularly from samples which tenocytes showed abnormal shape (not typical slender appearance), displayed reactions for mRNA. Of further interest finding tenocytes. The observations not only local at protein level, case tendon, but level. suggest especially those with disfigured appearances tendinosis, can produce catecholamines they respond transmitters. This is as adrenergic stimulation parts body known induce degenerative/apoptotic proliferative events, features are seen tendinosis. These completely new findings concerning tendon. likely locally produced autocrine/paracrine effects these substances great relevance during process
