摘要: Catla catla, Labeo rohita, and Cirrhinus mrigala represent important alimentary fish in India. Their reproduction/breeding depends on seasons. Fish perceive external factors-stimuli chemical signals through the olfactory system that plays key role central regulation of reproduction. However, no electron microscopy data are available organization components these fish. We studied organ male L. rohita using scanning (SEM) transmission (TEM). This consists epithelium, a short nerve, bulb. The is ovoid shape about 47–52 lamellae adults 14–20 fingerlings. These originate from midline raphe. By SEM, microvillar sensory ciliated non-sensory cells were observed lamellae. TEM revealed receptor cell with rough endoplasmic reticulum Golgi apparatus towards apical end. Basal present at base cell, supporting located adjacent to neurons, while epithelial cells—in nonsensory part epithelium. Mast, blastema, macrophage also found basement membrane. work first publication ultrastructural Indian major carp, which provides information morphological opens new avenues for further investigation neuroanatomy, signal processing, neural reproduction carp.
