摘要: Induction of olfactomedin 4 (OLFM4(GW112/hGC-1)) in cancer cells was recently reported to have a novel antiapoptotic action via binding the potent apoptosis inducer GRIM-19. We sought clarify undiscovered functions constitutively expressed OLFM4 cells. mRNA highly pancreatic tissues. In PANC-1 cell cultures, expression especially elevated during early S phase cycle. Transduction small interfering RNA for decrease caused time-dependent growth inhibition, with typical S-phase arrest after 6 days. addition, volume increased without increases multinucleated cells, consistent premitotic inhibition DNA synthesis. Inhibition by did not promote apoptosis. Taken together, results indicate that promotes proliferation favoring transition from G(2)/M phase.
