摘要: Fractography was used to study all-ceramic restorations that had failed clinically. Some basic tenets of fracture mechanics and fractography are reviewed related the examination clinically restorations. Dicor Cerestore either at trial placement or 17 36 months postcementation were evaluated. Failed studied determine origin failure calculate intraoral stress failure. Descriptive information regarding crack path obtained from constructed first-generation Cerestore. A majority crowns apparently internal surface, indicating this as highest tensile surface and/or location largest flaws. Flaws identified being fabrication inherent in ceramic microstructure.
