摘要: This technical note suggests the use of constant, residual strength contours a damaged hull girder section to enhance assessment ship's survival ability when exposed longitudinal vertical bending after an accident. Following general discussion on load carrying capacity based elasticity theory, fully plastic resistance moment theory and ultimate approach, investigation focuses effects different damage modes impaired ship. The practical application computational link between is further clarified in given examples.
