摘要: Abstract Tunneling in karst strata using tunnel boring machines (TBMs) presents numerous challenges. The unpredictable occurrence of fractured zones and water bearing structures ahead face might cause collapse or inrush hazards. This paper describes the successful application comprehensive prospecting TBM to identify adverse geological bodies Jilin, China. In study area, excavations were performed limestone significantly influenced by groundwater faults. investigation mainly included in-tunnel seismic resistivity methods. First, was detect zones. Then, investigate condition thus identified, applied three times continuously with a dynamic design. To effectively use prior information obtained, initial model inequality constraints inversion. A joint interpretation idea realized effective this case, supporting improvement inversion reliability reduction non-uniqueness. zone two water-bearing successfully predicted. Based on case lessons learned, we suggest method ensure safe tunneling through area.
