摘要: Gestures convey both propositional and discourse content, offer a window onto the process of speaking. This article describes varieties gestures, how gestures are organized internally, functions different phases exhibit meanings, incorporate information, role gesture in social resonance. The aim is to balance description basic empirical facts speech-synchronized performance with theoretical perspective from which regard see what they for understanding nature language.
