摘要: The growth of brain and body were observed in mice selectively bred for high (H) or low (L) weight as adults. Line H brains tended to be heavier than unselected control (C) at birth throughout the period; line L similar size C birth, but period rapid was shortened. Thus different genetic mechanisms appear involved phenotypic variation upward downward these seem differ timing action. Changes water content indicate that both H- L-lines are maturing more rapidly C-line. Differential temporal patterns may have implications behavioral development, particularly with respect critical periods sensitivity external stimulation.
