摘要: The aim of the study was to compare playing characteristics male and female athletes in professional beach volleyball. Video material, including 15 matches from women’s 14 men’s Grand Slam Klagenfurt 2005, analysed with game analysis software “Statshot”. Applied technique, position, quality, direction movement behaviour were evaluated. By analysing every action six basic volleyball elements serve, reception, setting, attack, block defence it possible gain complete statistics. comparison indicated that top players apply different techniques for success. Chi-square tests used evaluate significant differences between genders. distributions applied all elements: service (p<.01), reception (p<.05), setting attack (p<.01) (p<.01). Concerning quality distribution, statistical significance found only within serve attack. Tactical considerations gender-specific anthropometry physiology may be reasons approaches.
