摘要: Our purpose in this series of three studies was to determine the effects deprivation interval on smoking topography. In experiment 1, subjects were allowed smoke ad libitum for 1 hour after 3, 30, and 300 minutes tobacco deprivation. An increased latency first cigarette developed 3 an increase number cigarettes smoked occurred 2, puff spacing held constant if smokers would compensate long intervals by more intense smoking, i.e., volume. Puff volumes carbon monoxide (CO) boosts did not differ across bouts preceded either 100, or average CO examined during periods with short (3, 10, 30 minutes) intervals. Subjects less intensely (lower boosts) when spaced than minutes. We conclude that do volume up minutes, but they may decrease (3 cannot be used as compensatory mechanisms.
