摘要: The colonic myoelectric spiking activity was recorded in 10 healthy subjects using an intraluminal tube equipped with four bipolar Ag-AgCl ring electrodes fixed cm apart. probe introduced into the sigmoid colon by endoscopy so as to place at 50, 40, 30, and 20 cm, respectively, from anal verge. Recordings were performed for 2 h fasting state additional after 800-kcal mixed meal. tracings showed two patterns of activity. One made rhythmic stationary potentials; other sporadically occurring potentials that either propagating (at a speed 8.4 ± 2.5 cmls, mean SD) or nonpropagating.
