摘要: Summary Two cases of granulosa cell tumor and one theca-lutein cyst the ovary associated with sexual precocity are reported, which demonstrate difficulty in distinguishing pseudoprecocity from true female by three criteria usually employed: presence a mass palpable bimanually, excretion large amounts estrogens, absence urinary gonadotropins when is produced tumor. One tumors completely lacked theca cells but contained abundant crystals thought to represent source estrogens. This finding casts doubt on belief that alone responsible for estrogen production ovarian tumors. A review literature reveals children less benign than commonly believed. An analysis published cysts suggests not all variants precocity. The reported possible example an autonomous functional cyst, resembling five or six others described past.
