摘要: Abstract The thermopower of monoclinic TaS3 shows that the charge-density-wave driven metal-insulator transition at 160 K is comparable to Peierls transitions in organic conductors. However, insulating low temperature state with thermally activated conductivity quite unsensitive irradiation induced disorder. Instead disorder pushes properties up higher temperatures, samples about 10−2 fraction defects and has a 1/T dependence all measured range from ~ 60 300 K.
