摘要: Few studies examine techniques of surgical resection for scalp malignancies to ensure clear margins. We present a case series utilizing outer cortex removal in patients without evidence bony or pericranial invasion. A retrospective casenote review is presented three cases treated tertiary Head and Neck Cancer Centre. An table approach was utilized based on the absence involvement either pre-operative imaging from intra-operative findings. All underwent an drilldown procedure. Tumour histology included high grade carcinoma unknown origin, malignant cylindroma squamous cell carcinoma. Complete excisions with adequate deep margins were achieved 100% cases. Overall disease-free survival 66.6% local control rate 100%. This technique allows degree control, notably at margin. There little morbidity it avoids complications associated full thickness calvarial resection.
