摘要: Bactrocera oleae is a worldwide olive fruit pest. In late afternoon males form swarms on the windward side of trees. Within swarm, each male occupies leaf and aggressively excludes conspecifics before starting courtship displays. Females display aggressive interactions other too, particularly when they are in close proximity oviposition sites. this research, behavior displayed by both sexes was quantified. Aggressions were composed wing waving, fast running towards opponent, pouncing boxing head thorax foe. High-speed videos highlighted that parameters characterizing aggressions did not strongly differ between residents intruders. Resident flies won more combats, male-male female-female interactions. sexes, frequent morning than afternoon.
