摘要: Sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) is a multifunctional protein that acts in humans to regulate the response steroids at several junctures. It was originally described as hepatically secreted major binding for sex plasma, thereby regulating availability of free hormone-responsive tissues. SHBG also functions part novel steroid-signaling system independent classical intracellular steroid receptors. Unlike receptors are ligand-activated transcription factors, mediates androgen and estrogen signaling cell membrane by way cAMP. We have reviewed current state knowledge on gene role (we shall not address its function plasma-binding protein).
