摘要: Aims While studies of the social networks injection drug users (IDUs) have provided insight into how structures interpersonal relationships among IDUs affect HIV risk behaviors, majority these been cross-sectional. The present study examined dynamics IDUs’ and behaviors over time. Design Using data from a longitudinal HIV-intervention conducted in Baltimore, MD, this assessed changes composition personal 409 IDUs. We used multi-nomial logistic regression analysis to assess association between network simultaneous levels behaviors. parameters generated by model, we estimated predicted probability being each four behavior change groups. Findings Compared base case, individuals who reported an entirely new set drug-using contacts at follow-up were more than three times as likely be increasing group. In contrast, reporting all non-drug-using increased likelihood stable low-risk group almost 50% decreased consistently high-risk 70%. Conclusions findings show that, above baseline characteristics, their are associated with individuals’ risky They also suggest that interventions aimed reducing might benefit not users.
