摘要: Portable chest radiography is a fundamental and frequently utilized examination in the critically ill patient population. The radiograph often represents timely investigation of new or rapidly evolving clinical findings an evaluation proper positioning support tubes catheters. Thoughtful consideration use this simple yet valuable resource crucial as medical cost containment becomes even more mandatory. This review addresses role intensive care unit on basis existing literature formed by consensus expert panel thoracic imaging through American College Radiology. Radiology Appropriateness Criteria are evidence-based guidelines for specific conditions that reviewed every 3 years multidisciplinary panel. guideline development include extensive analysis current from peer-reviewed journals application well-established methodology (modified Delphi) to rate appropriateness treatment procedures In those instances which evidence lacking not definitive, opinion may be used recommend treatment.
